SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI)

In order to connect a SAP ERP system with another SAP ERP system or a third-party system, SAP provides SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) (formerly SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI)) for comfortable interaction and integration.

The advantage of PI as the central exchange platform is that different versions of SAP ERP systems can be connected and that you are not required to update the SAP ERP applications to the same version when, for example, a new release is installed. Furthermore, any number of interfaces can be developed, controlled, and monitored centrally using PI.

You benefit from easy integration of your systems into an existing - often heterogeneous - system landscape and from minimization of the adaptation and monitoring effort.

In addition, PI is not just a communication platform but also simplifies process integration. Processes can be represented, developed, and configured using graphical tools. This allows us to work with you to control and monitor cross-system processes centrally. Process changes required later on can be implemented more easily and faster from a central location than if every involved system is integrated separately.
