Personal details: 

Klaus Wilmes-Groebel was born in the city of Paderborn in Germany. After finishing high school he studied at the universities of Berlin, Basel and Oldenburg before coming to Indiana University in Bloomington / IND, where he earned a Master of Arts degree focussing on theoretical linguistics. He started his IT career as a systems engineer with EDS in Rüsselsheim / Germany where he was involved with various projects in the field of production planning und supply chain logistics in the automotive industry. Moving through the ranks he started as a manager of international integration projects, later on becoming the department head for all European development in the field of sales and distribution. In 2000 he joined Sycor leading one of Sycor’s consultancy firms and then – over the last five years – served as a senior manager developing Sycor’s global Sales strategies. His own international consultancy experience is in the automotive, chemical and energy industries.
